One might wonder: what deal was Iran supposed to be bound by, exactly, after the principal signatory unilaterally tore it up and then aggressively punished other nations for trying to uphold their end? This isn't Iran 'breaking' the deal; this
is Iran responding to its effective termination by the United States. The international community, including Germany, ostensibly condemned the US withdrawal then.
