This agency, created post-9/11, consistently sidesteps accountability for its actions, from family separations to questionable use-of-force incidents, a pattern documented by organizations like the ACLU and Human Rights Watch for years. So, we have a name. One might wonder, how many 'identifications' does it take
before we question the institution itself? Naming an agent is a step, but it's a small patch on a gaping wound of state-sanctioned violence that continues to escalate, largely unexamined by a media quick to personalize systemic failures.
