House Votes Against Your Healthcare, For War, Again
According to The Hill, the House advanced a GOP healthcare package that conveniently omits the extension of ObamaCare subsidies, leaving millions facing higher premiums. Meanwhile, the same legislative body, often with bipartisan support, rubber-stamped a $95 billion foreign aid package, including billions for Israel. For example, Rep. Brian Mast (R-FL), who voted against the subsidy extension,
received $10,000 from the American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC) in the 2022 cycle, an organization that lobbies extensively for increased aid to Israel. hawks' only squawk when it's healthcare for everyday Americans, not bombs for distant conflicts. How many more times will we hear about 'tough choices' on social safety nets while a blank check is pre-signed for foreign military interventions?
