This asymmetrical 'exchange' is framed as a mutual tit-for-tat, erasing decades of a blockade and systemic violence that precedes any given 'escalation'.
Ignoring the actual violence of occupation, DW presents the region as perpetually self-combusting. One wonders how many times Israel can 'strike back' before the international press acknowledges the context of a population under siege and the constant violations of international law. The 'cycle of violence' narrative conveniently omits who holds the F-16s and who lives under indefinite occupation.
