Hamas Offers Remains, Washington Offers Endless War
So, Hamas and PIJ are reportedly returning remains. A humanitarian gesture, perhaps, or a PR move in an information war where one side gets to define 'humanity.' Meanwhile, the 'news' reports Washington's 'optimism' for a UN resolution backing a 'peacekeeping force.' Because surely, that’s what's missing after billions in US taxpayer dollars fund the very 'peacekeeping' that requires such a force.
Let's not forget Rep. Mike Johnson, Speaker of the House, who, according to OpenSecrets, received significant contributions from pro-Israel PACs, including $10,000 from Pro-Israel America PAC in 2022 and $5,000 from NORPAC in 2023. Johnson, like many of his colleagues, consistently votes for military aid packages to Israel, funneling billions, including the recent $14 billion in HR 815. One might
wonder if this 'optimism' stems from a sense of moral clarity or the robust 'investment' into their political careers. After all, how many 'peacekeeping' resolutions does it take before we question who’s actually keeping the peace, and who’s profiting from its constant disruption?
