International, has been widely abused and used as a tool of repression. Where is the reciprocal transparency for the thousands of Palestinian bodies Israel has held for years, often used as bargaining chips? One might ask, if humanitarian gestures are unilaterally expected, does the humanitarian ledger only run one way? The media’s selective outrage, framing one side's actions as unique while

conveniently forgetting the other's long-standing playbook, is truly a sight to behold.
