Greta Thunberg Gets Bed Bugs, While World Gets Gaslit
Mainstream media will dutifully report the 'tough conditions' faced by a celebrity activist, implicitly validating the 'rule of law' in punishing dissent. What they won't dwell on is the why : Thunberg joined a Gaza aid flotilla, attempting to deliver desperately needed supplies to a population facing forced starvation, a situation the UN has repeatedly warned about. This isn't about bedbugs; it's
about Israel's sustained blockade, a policy that choked Gaza long before October 7th, 2023. Instead, we get pearl-clutching over insect bites while the actual victims of said blockade, a million Gazans displaced and starving, barely register beyond casualty counts. One might wonder why the international community isn't as quick to 'detain' those responsible for violating international law, like,
say, the Israeli officials who ordered the very blockade Thunberg was protesting. But then again, those arrests don't usually generate headlines about 'harsh conditions' for beloved activists.
