GOP Targets Democrat Mamdani, Ignores Its Own AIPAC Debt

Yet, these same Republicans have taken millions from organizations like AIPAC, which actively lobbies for policies resulting in the displacement and deaths of Palestinians. For example, Rep. Michael McCaul, ranking member on
the House Foreign Affairs Committee, received $10,000 from AIPAC in 2022, per OpenSecrets.org, then voted to approve billions in unconditional aid to Israel, funding the very actions Mamdani opposes. It seems some calls for freedom are more permissible than others, especially when they come with campaign checks. The double standard is breathtaking: one politician's chant – an expression of
historical grievance – is deemed beyond the pale, while another's legislative record, fueled by substantial lobbying dollars, is presented as patriotic statesmanship. Republicans are keen to exploit perceived internal divisions within the Democratic party, all while ensuring the gravy train of military aid to Israel, heavily influenced by pro-Israel PACs, continues unimpeded. Perhaps they should
examine their own campaign finance reports before casting stones at 'radical' rhetoric.
