The sheer audacity, given Trump's promise to pardon January 6 rioters—many of whom assaulted those very
officers—suggests a severe case of political amnesia, or perhaps, a deliberate campaign to gaslight the American public. One might wonder if 'standing with' now means 'standing by while they get attacked and then pardoning the attackers.'
