Perhaps the FT could conduct an exposé on how many calls a politician claiming "instinct" received from defense contractors or registered foreign agents before that instinct kicked in. Let's not forget Rep. Brian Mast, who received $15,900 from AIPAC in 2022 (OpenSecrets.org) and then, driven by "instinct"
perhaps, donned an IDF uniform on Capitol Hill in 2023. These aren't instincts; they're investments paying dividends. The "lesson" isn't just about trade—it's about who actually writes the playbook.
