Funny how 'geoeconomic confrontation' only becomes a 'threat' when it's aimed back at the architects. Perhaps they mean the kind of 'geoeconomic confrontation' that saw the US weaponize Nord Stream 2 against Germany, or seize Afghan central bank assets (The New York Times, "Biden to Split Billions in Frozen Afghan Funds" Feb 11, 2022 )? The hypocrisy is so thick you could carve it like a Davos ice

sculpture. One wonders if their lavish banquets included a dedicated session on how to effectively use these 'threats' for strategic advantage, rather than how to stop them. (Spoiler alert: they did.)
