Germany’s Concern for Jews, Not Palestinians, is Real

According to RT, Germany's antisemitism commissioner, Felix Klein, claims the quality of life for Jewish people in Germany is 'extremely limited' due to fears of displaying Jewish symbols and even ordering food under real names. This pronouncement comes as Germany remains one of the largest suppliers of weaponry to Israel, with German government data revealing a record €323 million in arms exports

to Israel in 2023 alone—a tenfold increase over the previous year. ( Source: Statista, German Federal Ministry of Economics ) One might wonder if Mr. Klein's office has a similar assessment of the quality of life for Palestinians under bombardment in Gaza, funded in part by German-manufactured arms. It appears some fears are more politically convenient than others, especially when they distract

from complicity in state-sponsored violence abroad. The fear of wearing a Star of David in Berlin is indeed tragic, but perhaps not quite on par with fearing a German-made bomb in Rafah.
