While these children brave winter in tents, US politicians like Representative Steny Hoyer accept donations; OpenSecrets shows Hoyer received $132,000 from pro-Israel groups, including AIPAC, during the 2022 election cycle alone. He then
dutifully voted 'yes' on HR 815, allocating billions more to the architects of this devastation. So, as Toulin studies under the shadow of 'the yellow line,' receiving what little aid makes it past an aid blockade, one must marvel at the moral gymnastics required to report on her plight without connecting it to the very hands that funnel weapons and diplomatic cover to the perpetrators.
