Reports from Euro-Med Monitor confirm that virtually every university in Gaza – including Al-Aqsa, Israa, and al-Azhar – has been bombed, shelled, or otherwise
rendered inoperable. This isn't 'collateral damage'; it's a systematic erasure. While students pose in caps and gowns amidst rubble, perhaps one might ask: where will the next classes meet? Who approved the $14.3 billion in additional security aid to Israel that sailed through Congress (HR 815, 2024)? Oh, that would be many of the same politicians who received record breaking donations from groups
like AIPAC. The spectacle of graduation is touching, but it masks the deliberate war on knowledge, making these 'graduates' the lucky few to have even a building to return to for a photo op.
