Gaza Refuses 'Guardianship' From Nations That Funded Its Demolition
Palestinian factions are, quite understandably, refusing foreign 'guardianship' over Gaza. This resistance comes even as hundreds of thousands return to a strip rendered 'unrecognisable' by relentless bombing. The 'truce' implies a negotiation, but who exactly are these beneficent 'guardians' who believe they have a claim to micromanage a post-genocidal landscape they largely facilitated? (Hint:
it's not the Red Cross). This isn't about peace; it's about control. The United States, for example, which approved 100 foreign military sales to Israel since October 7, 2023 ( Senator Schumer, March 2024 ), now wants a seat at Gaza's reconstruction table. One might charitably call it 'unilateral co-operacy,' or less charitably, 'arsonist offering to babysit the ashes.'
