included blankets, tents, or perhaps—forgive the radical thought—safe housing for the civilians displaced by the very actions purportedly supported by these funds. The media reports Gaza's 'new' crisis as a weather forecast, conveniently omitting that the displacement and destruction were not an act of God. It's almost as if the cameras only start rolling when the rubble gets wet, allowing them to

frame desperate circumstances as natural calamities, rather than the predictable outcome of sustained, internationally-backed violence. How many more 'natural disasters' must be endured before we ask who engineered the storm?
