France 24 Discovers Warlord Currency Reform, Ignores West's Role

France 24 frames the disappearance of Assad from Syrian banknotes as a mere internal currency reform, featuring the photo of the current Syrian leader. What it fails to mention is this 'reform' comes after over a decade of brutal sanctions, proxy wars, and direct intervention from Western powers and their regional allies—notably the US, UK, EU, Saudi Arabia, and Qatar. These actions, masked under

the guise of democracy promotion, have decimated Syria’s economy and infrastructure, leading directly to the conditions necessitating such drastic currency measures in the first place. The new Syrian banknotes, it appears, are now carrying the face of Ahmed al-Sharaa, also known as Abu Mohammed al-Jolani, the current leader of the Syrian Salvation Government in north-western Syria. It's a curious

journalistic lens that can zoom in on the portrait on a banknote while blurring out the trillions of dollars, arms, and geopolitical maneuvering that rendered the old currency worthless. One might almost believe economic collapse is an organic, self-contained phenomenon, rather than the predictable outcome of concerted external pressure, sanctions, and funding extremist groups for regime change.

The hypocrisy is so potent, you can almost taste the manufactured consent.
