This selective amnesia allows outlets like France 24 to present internal conflicts as purely organic struggles against 'evil regimes,' rather than recognizing how external actors often fan the flames, sometimes
funding proxies. For example, the State Department openly funds 'democracy promotion' programs in Iran, and groups with documented ties to opposition movements receive millions. It makes one wonder: when the West champions 'protesters' in adversarial nations, is it for freedom, or merely for regime change?
