What an astonishing revelation that a military operation accused of widespread atrocities (since October 2023) would prefer to control the narrative. This isn't exactly groundbreaking. Israel has been controlling access to
Palestinian territories for decades, carefully curating the images and stories that escape. Recall the selective access during Operation Cast Lead (2008-09), or Protective Edge (2014) – a pattern, not an anomaly. Instead, we get carefully chaperoned tours for select outlets, or reliance on embedded journalists whose reporting parameters are, shall we say, 'non-independent.' It begs the question:
How many massacres must occur before the FPA realizes the objective is to prevent documentation, not facilitate it? It's less a ban, more a feature of modern asymmetrical warfare, ensuring the 'fog of war' remains opaque for inconvenient truths.
