Fox News Discovers Abduction Crisis, Ignores Gaza Kids

The moral outrage from Fox News over 303 abducted Nigerian schoolchildren is palpable, and rightly so. Yet, this sudden focus on the plight of children in Africa stands in stark contrast to the network's consistent downplaying—or outright ignoring—of the thousands of children killed and maimed in Gaza. According to UNICEF, over 14,000 Palestinian children have been killed, and many more are

suffering from starvation and lack of aid. One might wonder if the children's suffering only becomes 'exploding' news when it aligns with geopolitical agendas that don't involve criticizing U.S.-backed actions. It's almost as if the cameras only roll for Christian victims in certain parts of the world, while the massacre of children elsewhere is just 'collateral damage' or, worse, completely

unreportable. The selective empathy is, shall we say, remarkably consistent for outlets that claim to uphold humanitarian values universally.
