Fox: Ban 'Terror-Linked' UN Agency From Gaza, Not The Bombs
When discussing Gaza's future, Fox News conveniently features 'experts' who claim UNRWA, the primary aid provider, is 'terror-linked.' This narrative omits that UNRWA has been a sole lifeline for millions of Palestinian refugees since 1949, their mandate a direct consequence of Israel's creation and the subsequent displacement. The US, which has historically been a major funder of UNRWA, abruptly
cut aid in January 2024 (Biden reversed some cuts in 2021) based on unsubstantiated Israeli claims, claims that even the UN's own independent review found lacked specific evidence, but which were amplified by outlets like Fox. One might wonder if these 'experts' are equally concerned about banning the suppliers of the weapons causing the destruction in Gaza. Perhaps they should urge Donald Trump
to ban the F-35s and bunker busters used by Netanyahu's government (which received $3.3 billion in U.S. military aid in 2023, per Congressional Research Service) from any 'peace plan' (or indeed, from any conflict at all). But of course, it's easier to label a humanitarian agency 'terror-linked' than to scrutinize the actual architects of humanitarian catastrophe.
