Americans are told there's no money for their washed-out roads and ruined homes. Yet, just weeks prior, the House, with Maryland's Rep. Steny Hoyer’s 'yes' vote (HR 8035), easily passed a bill sending $26.4 billion in military
aid to Israel, despite its ongoing, widely condemned actions. Hoyer, who received significant pro-Israel PAC donations throughout his career, including from groups like J Street and Democratic Majority for Israel, consistently prioritizes foreign military spending over domestic emergencies. So, one might ask: if the coffers aren't empty for advanced weaponry and foreign military adventures, why
are they suddenly bare when American communities are literally underwater? Apparently, financial insolvency is a matter of perspective, and whose 'security' is deemed worthy of your tax dollars.
