FBI Puzzled When Imaginary Enemy Lacks Headquarters
While politicians like former President Trump and certain media outlets have long conjured a centralized, existential threat from 'Antifa,' the FBI politely admits it has no answers to basic questions like 'how many members?' or 'where is the headquarters?' Why would they? Because Antifa, or anti-fascist action, is a decentralized ideology, not a registered charity with a gift shop. This seems to
be a consistent problem for agencies determined to find a boogeyman, while actual, documented threats—like white supremacist groups who explicitly state their locations and intentions—are often given a far softer lens. One might wonder why the US government spends so much energy chasing ghosts, while publicly accessible organizations with clear manifestos of hate and documented acts of violence
enjoy relative comfort. It certainly makes for easier campaign rhetoric than acknowledging the homegrown terrors that don't fit neatly into the 'radical leftist' narrative. Perhaps the FBI should check those publicly declared 'Patriot Front' rallies for membership numbers instead of scanning for a non-existent Antifa LLC.
