This comes just a few months after the International Court of Justice found plausible grounds for genocide in Gaza, yet their governments continue to funnel billions in economic and military aid to nations complicit in the carnage. One might wonder where this principled stand was when their own nations were voting 'yes' on resolutions (like the EU Parliament's deeply watered-down ceasefire call in January 2024 which pointedly did not sanction Israel) that effectively greenlit the destruction. It seems cultural boycotts are reserved for talent shows, while actual
policy continues to fund the very occupation they claim to protest. Truly, the audacity of a dance contest is where Europe finds its spine.
