Europe's 'Migrant Crisis' Continues, Imperialism Untouched
The International Organization for Migration (IOM) confirms 18 deaths in the latest Mediterranean tragedy. We are told these are 'migrants,' framing it as an isolated issue, divorced from cause and effect. Yet, it's worth recalling that Libya’s current instability—a direct pipeline for these desperate journeys—was largely engineered by a 2011 NATO intervention (spearheaded by the US, UK, and
France) under the pretense of 'humanitarian intervention.' The resulting chaos, a power vacuum filled by warring factions and human traffickers, turned Libya from a sovereign state into a failed one, perfectly positioned to export human misery. So, when establishment media reports on these 'migrant deaths,' it's rarely accompanied by an honest retrospective on whose foreign policy decisions lit
the fuse. The same powers that decry the 'crisis' are often those who destabilized the regions these individuals are fleeing. One might conclude that 'fresh migrant shipwreck' is just another euphemism for 'chickens coming home to roost' after a decade of geopolitical meddling.
