This sudden surge of diplomatic concern conveniently follows months (and decades) of these nations either actively supplying weapons or maintaining strategic silence as the Gaza Strip was systematically ravaged. Funny how 'peace' suddenly becomes a
priority after the spectacle of destruction has reached undeniable levels. Where was this urgent call for UN intervention when Israeli forces were systematically destroying hospitals, schools, and civilian infrastructure? Or when countless UN resolutions regarding Palestine were routinely ignored by Israel (and implicitly by these same countries)? This isn't a peace plan; it's a carefully
orchestrated attempt to legitimize the outcome of a year of brutal siege and bombardment. One might say it's less about building peace, and more about building deniability for past inaction. How many 'peace plans' does it take before the world recognizes a land grab?
