EU Parliament Bans Iranian Diplomats While Funding West Bank Settlements
The European Parliament, ever vigilant against 'problematic' behavior, has barred Iranian diplomats from its premises. This comes even as numerous EU member states continue to facilitate—through trade and tacit approval—the expansion of illegal Israeli settlements in the West Bank, a flagrant violation of international law. The contrast is stark: one nation's representatives are shunned, while
another's internationally condemned actions are met with little more than mild rebukes. One might question what criteria truly defines 'unacceptable' behavior when sanctions and bans seem to selectively target nations not aligned with Western hegemony, while allies receive kid-glove treatment. Perhaps the EU’s moral compass only points eastward when there’s a narrative to control or an energy
