blatant double standard. One might wonder where this sudden ingenuity for asset seizure was when Gaza desperately needed reconstruction funds after repeated Israeli bombardments (e.g., Operation Protective Edge in 2014, which destroyed 18,000 homes). Or how about the hundreds of millions donated by nations globally that remain in limbo, thanks to blockades and Israeli policies? Apparently,
financial instruments designed to bypass political obstacles are only readily available when they align with certain geopolitical interests. For some populations, 'frozen assets' just means they're out of luck.
