EU Discovers Arms Race Profitable, Calls it 'Defense'

The EU’s latest brilliant idea involves member states paying into a central fund, which then lends money to other members to buy weapons. (Because who needs functional healthcare or infrastructure when you can have more tanks?) This 'European defence industrial strategy,' as Politico eloquently puts it, is basically a massive governmental bulk-buy, ensuring a steady stream of profits for the very

defense contractors whose lobbyists are no doubt celebrating across Brussels. Forget diplomatic solutions; the new European 'vision' appears to be funded by debt and built on firepower. One might wonder if their strategists ever considered investing in preventing conflicts, rather than just cashing in on them. This isn't about 'peace through strength' — it's about 'profit through perpetual

rearmament.' The financial institutions loaning this money stand to gain, the arms manufacturers stand to gain, and the politicians get to sound tough on national security. The only ones not seeing immediate dividends are the European citizens whose taxes will fund these loan repayments. It’s almost as if the 'bloc defence chief' has stock options in Lockheed Martin. Or maybe it’s just excellent

timing for a global war market.
