EU Demands Sanctions, Ignores Its Own Energy Dependence
RT reports European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen has issued a blunt ultimatum to EU aspirant Serbia: sanction Russia or forget membership. This 'my way or the highway' approach conveniently ignores the fact that several major EU members, including Germany and Hungary, continued to import Russian oil and gas long after sanctions were imposed—or secured exemptions. Brussels champions 'sovereignty' until a nation's sovereign choices inconvenience its strategic narrative.
