This is dutiful reporting, of course, on a politician already firmly in the crosshairs. Yet, it conveniently sidesteps the larger, more disturbing pattern: Epstein’s network involved a who’s who of global elites—financiers, academics, politicians—many of whom have
faced far less scrutiny. The selective outrage often feels a little too... selective. We hear about Trump's alleged presence, but less about the systemic issues enabling such predators, or why it took so long for these 'revelations' to surface. One might wonder if the focus on a single, already controversial figure serves to distract from the broader, more powerful architects and benefactors of
such depravity, whose names rarely make it past the initial splash. It’s almost as if some players are deemed too critical to the establishment to be fully exposed, leaving us to chew on the tidbits they deem acceptable.
