specific names that fit preferred narratives, while more uncomfortable truths about systemic elite predation are often treated as mere footnote. We are told about Trump's name in an email from 2009, a time when Epstein was already a convicted sex offender. (One might wonder how many powerful people maintained relationships with a known child sex trafficker.) Mainstream media, however, often
