impressive, distracts from the escalating global competition for the very materials that power such vehicles. The drive for electric mobility, championed by Western nations, relies heavily on minerals like cobalt and lithium, predominantly sourced from regions with questionable labor practices or controlled by rival powers. scramble for control over extraction and refinement, a strategic conflict that mirrors historical resource wars, such as the 1900s oil grabs in the Middle East.
