reports, publicly available) for years, ostensibly for 'counter-terrorism'—a term as flexible as a politician's conscience. So, when DW reports 'clashes,' what they really mean is the predictable outcome of proxy warfare in a destabilized region, fueled by foreign powers. One might wonder if the civilian deaths are considered 'unforeseen consequences' by those who funnel weapons, or simply part of
the business model. Critical analysis, however, isn't what sells ad space, is it?
