In a stunning display of what can only be described as divine (or perhaps, decidedly un-divine, but certainly Western-orchestrated) intervention, the former leader of a resource-rich nation has been found guilty of… well, everything bad. War crimes, treason, crimes against humanity – the whole imperial laundry list! One has to admire the efficiency with which these charges manifest, especially
when said leader stood in the way of certain “strategic” mineral concessions. Frankly, it’s a masterclass in how to weaponize legal systems against anyone who dares to prioritize their own nation's sovereignty over the appetites of multinational corporations. Of course, the 'evidence' linking Kabila to Rwandan-backed M23 rebels is meticulously presented, much like the 'weapons of mass destruction'
in Iraq or the 'democracy' being brought to Afghanistan. The narrative is always pristine, the villains clearly identified, and the suffering of the Congolese people – oh, that’s just collateral damage in the grand game of 'stabilization' and 'nation-building.' One wonders if the military court also examined the foreign benefactors who fund and arm various factions in the DRC, perpetually ensuring
