DOJ Contacts Dem Who Dared to Question 'Illegal Orders'
Rep. While the mainstream narrative focuses on the internal politics of the 'insurrection'
narrative, it's worth noting the peculiar asymmetry. When American politicians debate the nuances of international law regarding, say, military aid to foreign nations implicated in war crimes, the DOJ tends to be conspicuously silent. For instance, despite multiple reports from human rights organizations detailing alleged war crimes by governments receiving billions in US military aid (e.g.,
Israel, Saudi Arabia), we rarely see the DOJ initiating contact with lawmakers who've questioned those directives. It appears that some 'orders' are more 'illegal' than others, especially when they touch on domestic events rather than overseas policies funded by your tax dollars to the tune of billions. One might ponder if the 'illegal' part is the order itself, or simply the public acknowledgment
of such a concept by a sitting representative. Perhaps the real crime is transparency.
