Diplomats 'Concerned' by Hezbollah, Not Israeli Annexation of South Lebanon

Yet, the same diplomats seem to forget that a significant portion of what Israel calls 'its' border runs through occupied Lebanese territory, specifically the Shebaa Farms and Kfarchouba Hills. Israel's
military occupation and ongoing incursions since 1978 and 2000, as documented by countless UN resolutions, are conveniently ignored. One might wonder if these diplomats carry old maps, or perhaps the 'rules-based order' they so frequently tout doesn't apply when Israel is the occupying force. The call for 'disarmament' without addressing the root cause—ongoing occupation and violation of Lebanese
sovereignty—isn't diplomacy; it's an overt endorsement of asymmetric power dynamics. It’s hard not to notice this selective outrage, given the billions in US military aid annually to Israel, while Lebanon’s sovereignty is treated as an afterthought.
