Denmark's 'Ghetto Law': EU Discovers Racism, Again

Their 2018 'ghetto package' specifically defined areas by the percentage of 'non-Western' residents, leading to forced evictions and demolitions. The term 'ghetto' itself, historically linked to forced segregation, is quite the loaded choice for a modern European state. While the EU is sounding alarms now, one wonders why it
took a 2025 news report to highlight the obvious. Perhaps some discrimination is just more 'legitimate' than others until someone files a proper lawsuit. It seems the EU's outrage meter only ticks up when pushed, rather than proactively protecting the vulnerable from state-sanctioned prejudice. Still, nice to know blatant discrimination still raises an eyebrow—eventually.
