Dems Reject Funding for 10th Time, 'Health Care' Now a Weapon
When the AP reports “Senate Democrats… ready to reject government funding bill for 10th time” over “health care benefits” (AP News, Oct 16, 2025), one might almost believe a principled stand. Yet, these are the same parties who have repeatedly slashed social programs, privatized services, and let corporate pharmaceutical and insurance lobbies dictate policy for decades. The federal workers facing
furloughs and delayed paychecks (AP News, Oct 16, 2025) might recall that both sides of the aisle enthusiastically approved sending billions in foreign aid, often with no debate. This isn't about 'health care.' This is about political posturing using the livelihoods of federal employees as bargaining chips. The very politicians who can find unlimited funds for perpetual war and tax breaks for the
wealthy suddenly discover fiscal rectitude and public welfare only when they want to hold the budget hostage. Funny how that works.
