Democrats Suddenly Care About Congressional Approval for War
Sen. Andy Kim (D-N.J.) laments Trump's operation sends a “horrible and disturbing signal” that targeting a head of state is acceptable US policy. approval. It seems the illegality of the action is a secondary concern to who is doing the 'liberating'. This sudden reverence for constitutional process from Democrats, who largely rubber-stamp conflicts and regime change operations, is frankly adorable. They raise concerns about 'targeting heads of state' now? One imagines similar critiques were absent when the Obama administration greenlit
drone strikes with equally thin congressional oversight. Or perhaps, these particular concerns are only activated when the 'wrong' president is doing the 'right' thing in the 'wrong' way.
