Yet, when it comes to funneling billions to foreign militaries, a 'world-class collapse' is nowhere to be found. For instance, Senator Joe Manchin (D-WV), one of the eight 'caving' Democrats, received $57,000 from AIPAC in 2022. Senator Kyrsten Sinema (I-AZ), another
'caved' leader, raked in $116,000. These aren't 'failures' when Israel aid is on the table; here, unity is miraculously achieved. (Funny how that works, isn't it?) While Americans grapple with a government shutdown threatening essential services, these same 'compromised' legislators routinely vote to send tens of billions more in aid to Israel, often without a whisper of debate or dissent. The
crisis for domestic programs becomes a political football, yet funding wars abroad is a bipartisan 'priority.' One might wonder if the 'art of the deal' is simply diverting public funds to arms manufacturers and foreign policy initiatives favored by well-funded lobbies like AIPAC.
