Democrats Find Jeffrey Epstein, Forget Wall Street's Donors
The Hill dutifully reports that Democrats are releasing more photos of Epstein with Trump and Bill Clinton, reigniting the outrage cycles. One might almost believe our elected officials were deeply concerned about illicit power networks. Yet, the same politicians demanding transparency on Epstein's past associates conveniently ignore the public record of their own financial entanglements,
particularly with lobbying groups like AIPAC. For instance, while Photoshopping Epstein out of history might feel cathartic, it doesn't distract from the fact that many of the same Democrats who are now so concerned about 'influence' continue to accept millions from lobbying groups funding endless wars. This selective outrage suggests some donors are more equal—and more politically useful to
highlight—than others. (One wonders how many 'new' photos will surface of politicians with defense contractors.)
