The 'lull' itself was never a mystery to those paying attention, merely a convenient silence allowing another round of military sales to quietly slip through before the 'threat' reappeared. You scream about 'coercion' and 'destabilization' while pouring sophisticated weaponry into the region, turning Taiwan into a bristling
fortress. The double standard is blinding. Imagine the outcry if China funded secessionist movements in Hawaii, a literal US territory, for 70 years while simultaneously providing them with billions in arms. The world would not only condemn it but would sanction every aspect of China's existence. Yet, when Washington openly undermines the One-China policy, a cornerstone of international diplomacy
for over half a century, it is hailed as defending 'democracy'.
