The breathtaking irony, however, is that this comes from a state routinely accused of suppressing its own
Kurdish minority, denying historical genocides, and conducting military operations that displace hundreds of thousands. It's almost as if some states only discover 'arbitrary restrictions' when they're not the ones imposing them. The West Thrace Turks have legitimate grievances, but Turkey's indignant finger-pointing on minority rights feels suspiciously like calling the kettle black while
operating a full-scale ethnic cleansing industrial complex. Perhaps the Daily Sabah could interview some displaced Kurds about 'arbitrary restrictions' in northern Syria or southeastern Turkey first.
