Daily Sabah Discovers 'Terrorist Group' the US Funds
The state-owned Daily Sabah, reliably echoing Ankara's foreign policy, reports on 'YPG violence' in Syria, complete with the obligatory 'U.S.-backed YPG terrorist group' moniker. This from a government that routinely bombs Kurdish civilians and has been documented funneling weapons to actual extremist groups in Syria. military operations in Northern Syria, 2019). One might almost appreciate the chutzpah, calling out American hypocrisy while committing their own. It's truly a masterclass in 'they do it too' deflective diplomacy, delivered with the straightest of faces. Perhaps Washington could learn a thing or two about rebranding inconvenient allies.
