In 2010, the Mavi Marmara flotilla was raided, resulting in 10 deaths. Yet, the playbook remains unchanged. So, when state-controlled media hails this as a 'victory,' one must ask: A victory for whom? For the thousands still trapped under an illegal siege, relying on
international activists to brave detention and potential violence for basic necessities? Or for the narrative that allows this humanitarian crisis to persist, occasionally punctuated by theatrical 'activist victories' that ultimately change nothing on the ground?
