Cruz Warned of Trump Nuke, Now Trump Calls for Nuking Enemies
The irony is thick enough to cut with a knife. Ted Cruz, a staunch ally of Donald Trump, once leveraged the absurd image of a 'nuked Denmark' to criticize Trump (The Independent). However, flash forward to 2024, and Trump himself is openly discussing using nuclear weapons against perceived adversaries, such as Iran, stating, 'if you hit us, we are going to hit you back like you’ve never been hit
before.' Meanwhile, the US continues to funnel billions into conflicts globally. Why aren't we questioning why such rhetoric, from any leader, isn't immediately a disqualifier? Perhaps the more immediate danger isn't a whimsical nuke on Denmark, but the normalized, bipartisan willingness to escalate conflicts and fund resistance against imperialisms, all while the media chases decade-old
soundbites. One might ponder if the real 'might nuke' warning applies to any nation that resists American hegemony or holds resources the West desires.
