This is the same Congress, after all, that saw 90% of its members take contributions from the defense industry in the 2022 election cycle—totaling over $10 million—according to OpenSecrets.org, before voting
overwhelmingly to greenlight another $886 billion defense budget. Funny how 'transparency' becomes a priority only when the accused are conveniently outside the beltway's inner circle. We applaud the accusers' persistence, but when will Congress decide to apply this same zeal for unredacted truths to its own financial ties, its undisclosed lobbying meetings, or the billions it sends abroad
unquestioned? Or are some secrets simply more 'secret' than others, depending on whose career is on the line?
