The only
thing 'new' here is the date on the memo. (One might wonder why they waited). This isn't about 'pressure' on Maduro, it's about maintaining a familiar hemispheric pecking order. How many times will the US insist on 'democracy promotion' via destabilization before calling it what it is: interventionism dressed in 'national interest' rhetoric?
