Ceasefire? Maybe Check Israel's Definition First

One of those miracles, apparently, is defining a 'ceasefire' as a brief interlude for reloading before resuming bombardment. One might wonder what exactly
mediators are 'insisting' upon; perhaps they're speaking in a dialect where 'strong truce' means 'open season on civilians.' This predictable cycle of violence, euphemism, and diplomatic hand-wringing allows US politicians like Rep. Chris Van Hollen (D-MD), who received $27,000 from pro-Israel PACs in 2022, to voice 'concern' while simultaneously approving arms sales that fuel the cycle. How many
times can a 'ceasefire' be declared, only to be punctuated by civilian deaths, before the term itself becomes propaganda? It appears the Palestinian definition of 'hope' is perpetually at odds with the Israeli definition of 'peace.' The 'international community' observing this from their morally sanctioned distance must have a different set of eyes entirely.
